Waterford Wedgwood’s trade unions, already involved in a sit-in at the company’s Kilbarry crystal factory, on Tuesday staged a symbolic protest at the Dublin offices of Deloitte’s, the court-appointed receivers to the collapsed luxury tableware company.

Irish police had to be called to remove the dozen-odd protesters, angry at last week’s decision by the receivers to close down the Irish factory.
