Sliding sales of CDs take toll on Warner

Warner Music’s fourth-quarter profits fell 58 per cent as a result of the continuing slide in compact disc sales, and a weak performance in the UK.

Warner earned $5m, or 3 cents per share for the quarter, down from $12m, or 8 cents per share, during the same period a year ago.
