Asgari’s wife pleads with Tehran for help

The saga of Ali-Reza Asgari, the missing former Iranian deputy defence minister, took a further twist on Monday as his family gave a press conference to selected reporters in Tehran.

Fars news agency, linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, carried the news with pictures of Mr Asgari’s wife, daughters, son and brother, and said they had visited the Turkish embassy in Tehran.
