Online advertising industry stakes £1bn claim

The online advertising industry is planning a campaign to convince businesses of the financial benefits of moving more spending to the internet after the market passed the £1bn mark for the first time.

This week, Alex Tew, 21, from Wiltshire, hit his target of making $1m from selling advertising slots on a blank web page, drawing attention to the rapid growth of online advertising in the UK.
