At least 10 people were killed in an explosion on Beirut’s waterfront on Wednesday, including a Lebanese legislator from the ruling anti-Syrian coalition. The attack delivered a serious blow to Lebanon’s ruling coalition and occurred as a United Nations envoy warned of a significant military build-up by two pro-Syrian Palestinian groups, with rockets, personnel and other weapons being brought across the Syrian-Lebanese border in recent weeks.
