EDF open to British Energy deals

EDF is willing to sell further stakes in its recently acquired British Energy business to outside investors after on Monday ceding 20 per cent to Centrica of the UK in a £2.3bn (€2.6bn) deal.

Pierre Gadonneix, chief executive of the French electricity group, on Monday said it was “possible” that EDF could seek new investors for British Energy just as it was seeking partners for nuclear investment in France and elsewhere.
