In a bid to make Irish food more attractive to export markets, the Irish Food Board, Bord Bia, is working with the neighbouring Smurfit business school at University College Dublin to develop 25 young graduates to help in the cause. The scheme represents an investment of around $1m by Bord Bia.

The 12-month Bord Bia Marketing Fellowships will combine study towards a graduate diploma in International Marketing Practice at UCD Smurfit School with hands-on experience in some of Ireland’s biggest food companies. Participants will also have overseas placements in locations such as New York, Shanghai and Moscow.
