Wolters Kluwer feels effect of lower spending

Wolters Kluwer, the Dutch publisher of medical, legal and accounting journals, reported an 8 per cent fall in operating profit amid weaker markets and a fall in advertising spending.

Operating profits for the 12 months to December 2008 fell from €546m ($696) to €503m.
