The Financial Times today announced the appointment of Patrick Jenkins as companies editor and assistant editor. In his new role, commencing on Monday 18 February, Jenkins will focus on coverage of UK companies, but will also be responsible for overseeing company news coverage from around the world.
Prior to this role, Jenkins was the international company news editor at the Financial Times, a role he took up in 2006. Previously, Jenkins was a financial correspondent based in Frankfurt and before that, a UK companies reporter. Jenkins has also worked as a personal finance correspondent and as a production editor on FT special reports.
Jenkins first joined the FT Group in 1996 as editor of the newsletter, FT World Insurance Report. Before joining the Financial Times, Jenkins was a translator and editor at Reuters.
