Land of Leather outlines survival strategy

Land of Leather outlined a survival strategy of slashing capital expenditure as it swung to an annual loss and warned that trading would be tough for the remainder of this year and the next.

The furniture retailer, which has issued three profit warnings since Christmas, reported a pre-tax loss of £363,000 in the 53 weeks to August 3, compared with a profit of £16m in 2007.
