Victims’ family associations prepared to hold on Saturday a burial ceremony and commemoration of the Srebrenica massacre amid Bosnia-Herzegovina’s highest ethnic tensions since the 1992-1995 war.
The 14th anniversary of the four-day massacre in July 1995 includes the burial of 534 victims, newly identified in the past year through DNA matches with surviving blood relatives. Serb forces killed roughly 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys – some of them fighters, but taken prisoner and disarmed.
