Lone Star plan for NCRI rejected

Lone Star suffered a setback on Wednesday when creditors rejected the US investment fund’s plans to acquire New City Residence Investment, a failed Japanese real estate investment trust.

Creditors representing more than 68 per cent of NCRI’s debt voted against Lone Star’s rehabilitation proposal, according to someone familiar with the situation. NCRI also confirmed in a statement that it had failed to obtain consent from creditors for the deal.
