Begbies sees big jump in business

The continuing fall-out from the recession drove revenues at Begbies Traynor, the Aim-quoted corporate insolvency specialist, up 29 per cent to £62.1m ($101.5m) in the year to April 30.

Pre-tax profits rose from £5.7m to £7.2m, while profits before amortisation and other charges rose 40 per cent to £9.8m.
