Patel joins Goldshield bid

The former chief executive of Goldshield has joined forces with an Israeli family with a view to making a cash offer for the quoted pharmaceuticals group.

Ajit Patel left Goldshield in the summer of 2007 when the company was facing criminal charges for defrauding the National Health Service. A year later a judge threw out the charges against Goldshield and four other companies.
