Tories back opposition to file-share plan

The Tories attacked Lord Mandelson’s plans to disconnect internet users who illegally download films and music, adding political weight on Monday to the growing backlash against the proposal.

Jeremy Hunt, the shadow culture secretary, accused the business secretary of having “gone for the soundbite” and of not having sufficiently thought through a complex problem.
