Wage settlements yet to feel the pinch

A difficult climate for wage bargaining is in prospect, with inflation high and recent settlements yet to reflect the worsening economic outlook, the pay specialist Income Data Services said on Wednesday.

Average settlements monitored by IDS over the past three months edged up to 3.8 per cent in August from a three-month average of 3.6 per cent in July.
