Navigation devices seek the right route

The notorious "MacArthur Maze" is a mangling together of three interstate highways on the east side of the Bay Bridge linking Oakland to San Francisco.

The many slip roads, on-ramps, off-ramps and roads seemingly leading nowhere make it resemble from above Britain's "Spaghetti Junction" motorway interchange in Birmingham, but the satellite navigation system on my Toyota Prius treats it like the Bermuda Triangle whenever I pass through it.
