B&B in bid to raise cash with €1.2bn sale of Enersis

Babcock & Brown, the Australian infrastructure investor, has agreed to sell wind energy assets in Portugal for €1.2bn ($1.5bn) as part of a large-scale disposal programme prompted by the global credit crisis.

The group is selling its 90 per cent stake in Enersis, a Portuguese renewable energy utility, to a consortium led by Magnum Capital, an Iberian private equity company.
