Indian police on Friday made their first arrests in connection with last week’s bomb blasts that killed more than 200 people in Mumbai, saying the suspects were linked to terrorist groups in Bangladesh and Nepal that were “directly or indirectly connected to Pakistan”.

A Mumbai court remanded the three men in custody for 10 days for further interrogation, as investigators claimedthe men were part of a “big conspiracy”. None of them has been charged.
