Two held over Moscow murders

Russian police announced the detention of a man and a woman in connection with January’s killing of a journalist and a human rights lawyer in central Moscow.

Vladimir Markin, an official of the Russian prosecutors’ office, said police believed the two, Yevgenia Khasis and Nikita Tikhonov, both Moscow natives in their 20s, might have been involved in “the killing of these two and possible more” murders.
