Aircraft suppliers fly high thanks to use of jets

Aerospace suppliers overcame rising raw material costs to report another strong quarter yesterday, boosted in part by increasing corporate jet usage.

Honeywell, United Technologies and General Dynamics - three of the largest US manufacturing groups - all increased underlying earnings at least 19 per cent.
