Disney on the scent of spin-off brand

Media executives behind Desperate Housewives, the hit American TV show, are considering the launch of consumer products - ranging potentially from perfume to lingerie - in an effort to exploit the popular series.

Walt Disney, the US entertainment group whose ABC network produces Desperate Housewives, is looking at a spin-off consumer brand as part of a big expansion in television and film-linked products.
