Argentina to resume debt talks with Paris Club

Argentina will restart informal negotiations with its creditor nations this week as part of a renewed drive to settle its international debts and regain access to global capital markets.

The meeting with representatives of the so-called Paris Club of rich nations during the International Monetary Fund meeting in Istanbul this weekend comes after intense preliminary discussions by Amado Boudou, economy minister. Mr Boudou recently met creditor groups during a visit to the US.
