Eyes on the ball

As if this year’s Ryder Cup didn’t provide enough competition between the US and Europe, a wider battle for golf supremacy between the two continents is taking shape.

Golf is the content but the prize is measured in television ratings, prize money, sponsorship and advertising revenue. The battle is between the US PGA Tour and the European Tour to lure the world’s best golfers to their most lucrative tournaments.
