Tax-free Mapeley to reject Reit status

Mapeley will be one of the few listed property companies that do not convert into real estate investment trusts (Reits) next year.

The FTSE 250 company, which is registered in Guernsey, said yesterday it had paid no income or corporation tax last year in any of the jurisdictions it operates.
