Gazprom accused of delaying gas deal

Hopes of an immediate resumption of Russian gas deliveries to Europe were set back on Sunday after Gazprom, the Russian gas giant, said it had not yet received a copy of a monitoring agreement signed late on Saturday night by Ukraine.

“Gazprom has not yet received even a facsimile copy of the document signed overnight in Kiev,” Gazprom said in a statement.
