No need seen to reinvent the wheel

The majority of hedge funds walked away relatively unscathed from the credit crisis that plagued the markets in the second half of last year, but there is scant time for them to reflect on their glory.

Morningstar reported impressive returns of 14 per cent for the hedge fund universe in 2007, but continuing stock market volatility means last year’s success stories could be this year’s failures.
