Nobel Peace Prize for microcredit pioneer

Bangladesh's microcredit pioneer, Muhammad Yunus, and his Grameen Bank yesterday won the Nobel Peace Prize for "their efforts to create economic and social development from below".

Mr Yunus said he would donate his $1.4m (£750,000) prize money to causes such as an eye hospital and a drinking water project.
