Politics could force silence on China Development Bank

China Development Bank’s foray into the Polish telecoms market may be one of the last big things we hear from the bank for a while.

The €640m ($992m), 10-year debt facility to fund an upgrade at Play, Poland’s fourth largest mobile operator, will mostly benefit Huawei, the Chinese telecoms equipment giant with the contract to do the upgrade, and fits well into the bank’s mandate of helping Chinese champions expand abroad.
