Problems for Lukoil in taking Spanish steps

In spite of rhetoric about keeping Repsol Spanish, Madrid can ill afford to upset Russia, its biggest supplier of oil.

According to the most recent statistics, the country accounted for 22 per cent of oil imports to Spain in 2006, almost double that of Mexico, the second most important source.
