Land of Leather shares soar on bid hopes

Land of Leather shares shot higher on Monday after the ailing sofa retailer revealed it was in early stage talks with a number of potential buyers for the business.

The shares, which have almost been wiped out in the last year, jumped 5p or more than 75 per cent to 11½p, giving the group a market capitalisation of £2.3m.
