Fed remains cautious on inflation

The Federal Reserve grew more confident that inflation was moderating at its January policy meeting, minutes released on Wednesday revealed, but policymakers still did not see a downward trend in core inflation as “definitely established.”

The minutes show that all members of the Federal Open Market Committee agreed that the predominent risk remained inflation rather than growth.
