Royal criticised for Iran nuclear ‘gaffe’

Ségolène Royal was accused on Wednesday of making a fresh foreign policy blunder in her campaign to become the next president of France.

The Socialist party’s presidential frontrunner drew criticism for saying in a televised debate that Iran should be stopped from developing a civil nuclear energy programme.
