Watchdog probes sale of mobile phone records

T-Mobile, the mobile phone group , has been forced to bring in investigators after staff members allegedly sold thousands of its customers’ personal details.

The UK’s data protection watchdog, called in to examine the case, said on Tuesday that it “appears that the information has been sold on to several brokers and that substantial amounts of money have changed hands”.
