Charged-up Citadel chief Ken Griffin may be growing his London office like topsy but he was almost plaintive about jobs moving away from America to London, when he appeared with other hedge fund titans before US Congress yesterday.

"It breaks my heart when I go to Canary Wharf and I see thousands of high paying derivatives jobs going overseas. Jobs that belong in our country."
