Swat refugees begin to take long road home

Siraj Khan and his family began making their way back by bus to Pakistan’s Swat valley last week, just three months after being uprooted along with 2m others by fighting between the military and Taliban.

Leaving behind the tents of the displaced persons’ camp in Yar Hussain, the father of six said he was “determined to go home and begin a normal life”.
