IdaTech wins India cell deal

IdaTech, the US clean technology group, has won a "transformational" deal to supply nearly 10,000 fuel cells systems over the next few years to India's telecommunications industry.

The Oregon-based group has signed a deal with Acme, the telecommunications infrastructure provider, to supply an initial 310 of its 5KW fuel cell systems before the end of 2009 and another 9,690 systems from early 2010.
