The Moroccan man facing a retrial over his alleged involvement in the September 11 attacks knew nothing of the airline hijack plans, according to al-Qaeda leaders in US custody.
Summaries of interrogations of Ramzi Binalshibh and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, provided on Wednesday to the Hamburg court by the US justice department, appeared further to undermine the prosecution's case that Mounir al-Motassadeq played a direct role in September 11.
