Ile-de-France: Capital starts to expand its capacity

On October 1, Uniqlo, the Japanese clothing retailer, opened its third international flagship store adjacent to the Paris Opera, in a showcase 2,150 square metre building staffed by 300 employees.

A week later, Christine Lagarde, France’s finance minister, handed Steve Ballmer a lifelong French residence permit, when Microsoft’s chief executive performed the official opening of his company’s striking new headquarters and research centre for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa at Issy-les-Moulineaux, on the south-western outskirts of Paris.
