Cameron to resist policy push

David Cameron will resist calls to formulate policy quickly as his makes he first speech to the Conservative party annual conference as its leader.

Mr Cameron is expected to outline the general principles of social responsibility on which he wants the party to base policies for the next few years. But he will stop short of announcing any specific ideas, and will warn the party that it would be irresponsible to “pull policies out of a hat.”
