Corrigan in return to themes close to his heart

The first big report on the derivatives industry was written in 1992, when the G-30 published “Derivatives; Practices and Principles”, setting definitions of what complex products were and laying the groundwork for how regulators would respond to this industry for the next 15 years.

A key driver behind these efforts was Gerald Corrigan, who was then head of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
