Competition and demanding clients hit WPP

Intensifying competition between advertising agencies and hard bargaining from clients is hitting the profitability of WPP, Sir Martin Sorrell warned.

The chief executive of the world’s largest marketing and communications group by revenues said that it would be a “very difficult” to meet WPP’s target for adjusted margins, a measure of profitability.
