Choice of adviser signals end to skyscrapers

Boris Johnson signalled on Tuesday that he would reverse his predecessor’s support for tall buildings in London by appointing an outspoken critic of skyscrapers as his planning adviser.

The move is likely to add to the concerns of industry leaders and developers who fear that the Johnson mayoralty will make it harder for ambitious developments to win planning approval.
