Court narrows US money laundering law

US prosecutors might have more trouble securing convictions in money laundering cases after the Supreme Court on Monday ruled against the government in two cases, narrowing the definition of the law.

Lawyers said the decisions might have broader implications in financial cases by signalling the court will not support convictions where legal statute is unclear.
