Squabbling delays US reform process

The European Union proposals unveiled on Wednesday put Brussels well ahead of the US in implementing the broad principles agreed by the Group of 20.

Europe is moving to minimise cross-border differences and regulatory arbitrage and to step up its efforts to monitor and prevent systemic risk.
