Digital media: Sun, sea and loyal talent draw online businesses

Silicon Valley may be better known as the centre of the technology and internet industries. But Los Angeles is fast becoming one of the pre-eminent locations for new digital media and online advertising companies.

After all, with the venture capitalist firms of San Francisco and the Bay Area only an hour away by air and Hollywood’s biggest studios on its doorstep, the city is the natural place for digital entrepreneurs looking to set up shop.
