Anti-terror measures embroiled in controversy

Charles Clarke, the home secretary, says that the provisions of the terrorism bill will help to tackle the terrorist threat facing Britain in the aftermath of the London bombings.

Among the latest measures, those tightening up on the offence of conspiracy to carry out a terrorist act, and making it illegal to receive terrorist training or attend a terrorist camp already have broad political and judicial support.
