Education policies under fire

An "unprecedented number of policy initiatives" by the government is unlikely to produce significant improvements to the education and training system, an influential review has concluded.

A slew of national targets, new qualifications, short-term funding and regulations was damned as "policy busyness" in the annual report of the Nuffield Review of 14-19 Education and Training, published yesterday.
