Crude, petrol, corn and tin at record highs

Crude oil, petrol, corn and tin prices hit record levels this week as upward momentum gathered in commodity markets after a hesitant start to the second quarter.

Oil prices will average more than $100 a barrel this year, according to the US Energy Information Administration, which warned that the global oil market remained "fundamentally tight" in spite of the slowdown in US oil consumption and growing risks to global economic growth.
