Susanna Scott is one of the pioneers of "mummy blogging" in the UK. She left her job in the IT sector three years ago to look after her three small children but found she missed the social contacts and stimulation of working.

Last August she started filling the gap with a blog, www.amodernmother.com. Now she has four blogs and runs a social network for other mothers who blog about the joys and woes of motherhood in the UK.
